Two types of membership are possible, with different privileges and fees:

Developer:

• Fee or contribution: 10 keuro per year, whenever possible and needed complemented by in kind contributions; after consultation of the relevant partners the Board may decide that in specific cases a cash contribution can be replaced by an in-kind contribution if the specific expertise is needed;
• Eligible to deliver a Board member;
• Membership of the General Assembly
• Membership of the Advisory Forum;
• Use of all services;
• Restricted support for the use of SEAMLESS components.

User:

• Fee: 3.0 keuro per year in first year, possibly increasing in next years depending on the services provided;
• Membership of the Advisory Forum;
• Use of all services;
• Restricted support for the use of SEAMLESS components.

Membership fees, conditions and rights will be evaluated by the Board at the end of year 1 of the Association and may be changed thereafter upon a decision of the General Assembly.

SEAMLESS components are available to members under open source conditions with few exceptions as to some components and a few datasets; ‘Developers’ are involved in the decision making of the Association through representation in the Board, General Assembly and membership of the Advisory Forum. Users are members of the Advisory Forum.

Members subscribe the aims of the Association and commit themselves to support the Association in realizing these aims. This can be done through further cash and in-kind contributions, initiation of and participation in new projects (Satellite projects) that use, extend or apply (parts of) SEAMLESS components and participation in any of the activities launched by the Association (e.g. related to training or dissemination).
